Clubs

Thurrock Music Services offer tuition by outside musicians and these are offered to Year 3-6. These take place over the lunch break and after school. The main office holds a waiting list where you can register your child for these lessons.

Outside providers who let hall space from us provide Karate, dance and cheerleading.

    Athletics

In the Summer Term all of the children in KS2 (Years 3-6) have the opportunity to take part in the ‘District Sports’ competition. There are a large number of track and field events for the children to take part in including; sprinting, long distance running, throwing and jumping amongst many others. This is an event which sees every school in Thurrock take part and if successful, the children have a further opportunity to compete at the Thurrock finals.

    Cross Country

Children in KS2 (Years 3 – 6) train weekly in preparation for the annual Thurrock Cross Country competition. A large number of children compete in this competition and if successful, individuals and teams go through to the Essex finals.

    Football

Tudor Court has both boys and girls football teams for children in Years 5 and 6. Both teams train on a weekly basis and compete in a number of competitions in a 7 vs 7 and 9 vs 9 format. This includes the Thurrock Primary Schools’ leagues and cups as well as a number of tournaments organised throughout the year. In addition to competing against schools in Thurrock the team takes part in a number of competitions at County level which involves playing against schools all over Essex. These teams compete at a high level so the children have to trial to become a member of the squad. The teams have been very successful over the years winning many honours and the teams will look to build on this reputation this season.

    High 5

There are two High 5 teams at Tudor Court. The team is open to both boys and girls in Years 4, 5 and 6. This sport develops a range of sporting skills in preparation for Netball and Basketball at Secondary School. The teams compete against other local schools in friendly matches as well as in the Thurrock League. There is also the opportunity to take part in Rallies and other competitions organised throughout the year.
